The Chief Executive of Leeds City Council Tom Riordan addressed an exclusive Downtown in Business dinner this week and outlined his city’s ambitions on the digital and technology agenda; housing and regeneration; and devolution.
Riordan told Leeds business leaders that the city was in good shape and making good progress on its key priorities, but he wants to see a devolution deal sooner rather than later for Yorkshire.
He also acknowledged that, whilst Leeds had a great tale to tell, the city sometimes hid its light under a bushel. However, marketing and promotion had been stepped up with national and international campaigns, and he urged business leaders to become ambassadors for ‘Brand Leeds’.
The event was sponsored by B&M Waste Services and hosted at Fazenda.
