Downtown in Business hosted it’s inaugural ‘Last Thursday Construction Club’ (LTCC) networking event since the private sector lobby organisation acquired the new event brand.
Bringing together the who’s who from across the construction industry in the United Kingdom, LTCC North was hosted at Manchester’s Restaurant Bar and Grill while LTCC South was hosted at the Malmaison in London.
Downtown Head of Business in Birmingham, Matthew Barnsley, said “LTCC London was a tremendous success. The turnout exceeded our expectations with a diverse range of representatives from across the construction sector. Thank you to all who attended and I am already looking forward to the next one”.
DIB Head of Business in Liverpool, Gareth Abbott, commented on LTCC North saying, “The event was a resounding success with close to 100 people in the room. We had the privilege of Sir Howard Bernstein, former Chief Executive of Manchester City Council, addressing our guests and sharing his views on the construction sector and the opportunities that the North of England has to offer. It is great that DIB is in a position to facilitate events like this for our members and the region’s businesses.
“The range of companies who attended LTCC North was really impressive and the feedback has been really positive. A big thank you goes to the LTCC committee for supporting the event and we look forward to continuing to deliver the ‘Last Thursday Construction Club’ as a platform for construction and supply chain businesses from across the UK.”
Commenting on the acquisition, LTCC founder member John Hartles said, “We know that Downtown in Business will not only maintain but progress the club. They are experts in delivering high profile corporate networking events across the UK, and their ability to connect the private and public sectors is crucial. I’m looking forward to seeing the LTCC brand develop and grow in the coming months and years ahead.”
