DESCRIPTION:\nThis lunchtime event features presentations from two guys who have written extensively about the cities of Liverpool and Manchester – and who have an opinion on what the future looks like for these two major Northwest powerhouses.\n\n\nProf Parkinson CBE was the author of ‘Liverpool on the Brink’ and ‘Liverpool’ Beyond the Brink’ and he has advised decision makers across the UK and the EU on urban regeneration.\n\n\nAndy Spinoza, as a journalist and then media agency owner, saw first-hand the rising of Manchester from the doldrums of the late 70s, through to the beginning of its revival via the Hacienda and MADchester, and ultimately its renaissance into the capital of the Northern Powerhouse.
