Drinks Tank with Carl Cashman

On Wednesday 4th February 2026, Downtown in Business will host an exlsuive ‘Drinks Tank’ with Cllr Carl Cashman, Leader of the Liverpool Liberal Democrats.

Carl Cashman is currently serving as the councillor for the Church ward on Liverpool City Council. Since May 2023, he has been the Leader of the Liverpool Liberal Democrats and, in this capacity, also serves as Leader of the Opposition on the council. In these roles, he leads the principal non‑ruling party group, holds the administration accountable, and oversees a frontbench team with portfolios including housing, finance, and community services. Cashman has been active in challenging policies on issues such as council tax, education exclusions, and local services, while positioning his party to take control of the council in future elections.
