On Wednesday 20th March 2024, Downtown in Business will be In Conversation with Chief Executive of Newcastle City Council, Pam Smith. At this exclusive dinner, Pam will be reflecting on the regions recent visit to property and investment festival, MIPIM, the upcoming elections and introduction to a combined authority to the region as well as opportunities and challenges for the city.
Pam joined Newcastle City Council as Chief Executive in January 2022 having been Chief Executive at Stockport Council since 2017 where she was also Greater Manchester’s Lead Chief Executive for ‘Age Friendly Greater Manchester’, and she continues to be the Solace lead spokesperson for Housing.
Pam was previously Chief Executive at Burnley Council and has also worked for the Audit Commission.
