The Downtown in Business team and our wider network were saddened to hear the news of Sue Wright’s passing earlier this week.
Sue was one of the first Downtown Liverpool members, when her PR agency Ampersand joined the club back in 2004. She went on to win multiple DIB awards and contributed to many Downtown events over many years.
Downtown CEO and group chair Frank McKenna said:
“Sue was an early adopter of DIB, and a great supporter. From her first venture, Ampersand, through to her latest enterprise Harrogate, she was involved with the network, and she always added value to the conversations we hosted.
“She was a big personality – and like all big personalities she ruffled a few feathers in her time. But fans and critics alike cannot deny her dynamism, determination, and talent that led to personal and business success – and her contribution to charities and good causes must also be acknowledged.
“Our thoughts are with Faisal and her children at this sad time. I am sure that Sue’s legacy will, in time, be of great comfort to them. Rest in Peace Sue.”
