8th April 2020: Many businesses are already proving their ability to adapt during the Covid-19 outbreak. To help employers bring their recruitment online, leading UK job board, Totaljobs, is offering clients access to Video Interviewing software for free, meaning they can assess candidates quickly, without the need for a face-to-face meeting.

With over 4 million applications and 200,000 new applicants on the Totaljobs platform in March, candidate activity remains strong, presenting employers with the opportunity to find the right people in order to fill vital roles.

Using the tool, recruiters and hiring managers can set up a video interview across any device in minutes to easily find a time that suits both them and their candidates. Recruiters have the option to link their calendars to the Video Interviewing system, so candidates can select a time slot.

The pre-record feature means recruiters can share video or text questions for candidates to respond to, so multiple candidate responses can be gathered simultaneously, saving time. Alternatively, recruiters can arrange live video calls between themselves and a candidate. With this, candidates can record a video pitch introducing themselves which can replace, or be an addition to, their CV.

Video interview recordings can be shared with colleagues, who can then use the tool’s scoring system to assess and compare candidates using one efficient process, without the need for additional interviews.

Bonnie Andrews, Product Director at Totaljobs, said:

“We’re committed to helping businesses hire the people they need, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer Totaljobs Video Interviewing to our clients and support their recruitment efforts at this unprecedented time.”

“With many businesses, including our own, adapting to working from home, this tool helps employers to easily connect with candidates through fair, efficient interviews, wherever they’re currently based.”
