Downtown in Business is delighted to have teamed up with the Institute of Government & Public Policy (IGPP) to allow all DIB members and stakeholders the opportunity to access IGPP’s Northern Powerhouse event that will take place online on Thursday 6th October 2022.

This event will draw upon the key components required to achieve the vision of the Northern Powerhouse and to fulfil the levelling-up agenda.

It will examine how to boost pay, employment and productivity by addressing the north-south skills gap, improving access to 5G broadband, improving public transport and tackling health and education inequalities.

Case study examples will illustrate how local authorities have been successful in regenerating their town centres, improving rail connectivity and tackling the north-south skills gap.
