Women in Business Awards 2027

Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2027, the Women in Business Awards will recognise the female entrepreneurs, executives, innovators and emerging leaders who are making an outstanding contribution to the economy across Liverpool City Region, Cheshire, Warrington and North Wales.

The gala awards luncheon will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool, on Friday 5th March 2027, from 12pm until 5pm, bringing together hundreds of business leaders, entrepreneurs and decision-makers for an afternoon of celebration, networking and recognition.

And, in true Downtown style, the celebrations will not finish with the final award. Guests will move on to a spectacular official after-show party at the Malmaison Hotel, continuing what has become one of the standout dates in the regional business calendar.

Now in its fifteenth year, the DIB Women in Business Awards was established to shine a spotlight on the women who are creating businesses, leading organisations, generating jobs, inspiring change and helping to shape the economic future of their communities.

For 2027, the awards will have a broader geographical reach, celebrating talent from across the Liverpool City Region and its neighbouring economies in Cheshire, Warrington and North Wales.

This approach is consistent with established Rising Star awards, which emphasise potential and impact relative to career stage rather than age alone.

Open to women working across areas including law, finance, accountancy, consultancy, HR, marketing, education and other professional services, this award celebrates expertise, achievement and influence. Nominees should have an excellent professional reputation and be able to demonstrate the difference their work has made to clients, colleagues, their organisation or their profession.

Celebrating an outstanding woman making an impact across property, construction, development, regeneration, architecture, planning, infrastructure or the wider built environment. The Unsung Hero award recognises a woman whose contribution to her organisation, colleagues or community is exceptional but who rarely receives the recognition she deserves. The event starts from 12:00pm with networking in the reception area. Entrance to the room will begin around 1:00pm.

There will be a set menu on the day. Please contact us to let us know of any dietary requirements.

You can pre-order drinks for your table, further information will be released nearer the event.

You (the public) can nominate colleagues, clients, peers/businesses in the relevant categories.

The results of nominations are then collated and shortlists produced based on the number of nominations a person/company has received.

The voting form is then open to the public. We encourage all nominees to promote their nomination as much as possible to secure votes.

The winners are selected based on which nominee receives the most votes
