Downtown appoints Director for Business Growth

Victoria Hull has joined the DIB executive team to continue to develop the organisation’s fastest growing membership in Manchester, and oversee business development across the North of England.

As Downtown in Business prepares to establish its brand in a further six cities over the next two years, the private sector lobbying group and business networking club has appointed a Director of Business Growth to support its expansion plans.

Victoria Hull has joined the DIB executive team to continue to develop the organisation’s fastest growing membership in Manchester, and oversee business development across the North of England.

On her appointment, the group Chair and Chief Executive Frank McKenna commented:

“I am sure Victoria is going to make a valuable contribution to the exciting growth plans we have over the next few years. We currently operate in seven locations, Liverpool, Lancashire, Manchester, Leeds, Cheshire, Birmingham, and London. By 2023 that number will be thirteen, and to undertake such aggressive growth we needed to appoint someone with the ability and talent to support us at a senior level.

“Victoria has twenty years of management and business development experience, and I know she will not only add value to DIB, but also to the members we work with across the country.

The new Director of Business Growth added:

“I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with DIB at such an exciting time. The plans we have in place for the next three years are both ambitious and dynamic. I was hugely impressed with the way DIB supported its membership and maintained such a high profile during the pandemic. Imagine what we are going to deliver in 2022 and beyond.

“The move to become a national business voice is a real statement of intent from the company, and I am really looking forward to helping to deliver the vision that Frank McKenna has for DIB.”
