You will need to be a team player, have experience in events, good communication skills, the ability to use the phone as well as email, and be prepared to work at fantastic events, some of which take place in the evening.

Location: DIB HQ, Liverpool
This role has been created to streamline DIB internal and external communications. Its focus is to coordinate operations between departments and relationship manage our members.
Primary Purpose of Job
- Key contact for DIB members
- Action new member on-boarding processes
- Assist in creating guest lists for events
- Utilise premier events programme and media platforms to generate new income streams
Main Areas of Responsibility
The key responsibilities include:
- B2B introductions for members
- Ensure members are maximising all benefits associated with DIB membership
- Market and promote premier events opportunities to members
- Support sales team in creating a pipeline of new members
- Send welcome packs to new members and update CRM system
- Review guest lists prior to events to check paid / unpaid / problem members / prospects
- Coordinate sponsorship / partnership / new member announcements for use on Comms platforms
- Coordinate marketing strategy for events
- Attend events in all regions
Salary: £25,000 per annum, plus pension, and a range of employee benefits.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Manage the generation of new business, to maximise sales and profit and meet/exceed assigned sales targets and objectives
- Identify new opportunities to increase sales to existing members
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with members
- Record all contact notes in company CRM and manage members and prospects pipeline in the CRM
- Work with colleagues to deliver joined-up member/prospect service levels
- Attend networking events
- Monthly reporting to Directors

Membership/sponsorship sales and the account management of existing Downtown members will form the core part of this exciting role, whilst you will also be involved in maintaining up-to-date records and CRM systems relating to Downtown sponsors, partners, members and supporters. To work with the events and communication teams to market the work of Downtown and the events in Newcastle.

- Achieve individual sales targets and help the company to achieve its revenue and non-revenue-based targets.
- Achieve all other metric targets such as meetings, calls and tender responses.
- To be proactive with locating and developing new business in line with the revenue and sales.
- To ensure all opportunities are taken to promote and sell a range of products across the region including membership, sponsorship online services and business support packages.
- Maximise customer penetration through use of prospecting, presentation, selling, closing, follow up and account development skills.
- Generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
- Prepare reports and sales forecasts, as required.
- Help build a team of three people to support the Newcastle membership.

Main Purpose of the Post
You will be responsible for assisting with the marketing content for both Downtown in Business and its members. You will help to develop digital media for awards dinners, events and more.
You will also support the rest of the marketing team with a variety of projects.
This is an ideal role for a young and ambitious creative thinker who wishes to develop a wide variety of skills in a varied role.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and create digital marketing collateral.
Organise and assist with Social Media publishing schedule.
Assist with Downtown in Business video content.
Update Downtown in Business website.
Assist with digital newsletter creation.
Create artwork and marketing materials for future DIB awards dinners and conferences.
Manage and maintain DIBs CRM system.
Person Specification
Familiar with the Adobe Suite of products, in particular InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint.
