Downtown in Business’ Birmingham Christmas Social

For our final event of the year, Downtown Birmingham in Business hosted a Christmas social at the city’s beautiful New York-themed restaurant and bar, Manahatta.

DIB were joined by both new and familiar Birmingham and West-Midlands members alike, with everyone engaging in some festive networking fun.

As well as the networking and festivities, part of the evening event involved raising money and awareness for West-Midlands children’s hospice, Acorns. Along with Vicki from Acorns, we held a Christmas raffle with some lovely chocolates, wine, and food and drinks vouchers for selected venues in the city. Acorns provide round the clock specialist palliative care 365 days a year for children with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses. Furthermore, they provide psychological, emotional, and practical support to both the children and their families. Evidently, Acorns is an important cause, and the raffle raised a total of £140 for the charity.

Downtown’s KJ Clarke commented, ‘What an incredible end to a fabulous year of events in Birmingham with the best members and supportive friends in business.’

We would like to thank Manahatta for their outstanding service and for serving a plethora of delicious delights (including burger sliders, nachos, stuffing with pigs in blankets) and some lovely drinks.
