Acorns Children’s Hospice is launching a brand-new Business Club with an exclusive networking event starring TV personality and former SAS solider Colin MacLachlan.

The member’s only event at Birmingham City University on Tuesday 9 November, will see Colin, who is best known for appearing in Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins and Channel 5’s Secrets of the SAS, share his inspirational journey and insights into how he developed mental resilience.

Guests, who will be treated to a complimentary light lunch, will then have the opportunity to take part in their own ‘mission’, in which they will learn new skills used within the SAS.

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for life limited and life threatened children and support for their families from its three hospices, based in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester, and in the community.

In the past year the charity has cared for more than 800 children and over 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved.

It cost Acorns £27,000 per day to provides its care and support, the bulk of which comes from fundraising and donations.
