RIBA Chartered Architects, Home & Maker, has announced Co-founder Isabella Webb’s place on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list for 2022. Under the category Manufacturing & Industry, Webb’s unique online concept is a simple-to-use service, connecting homeowners with architects and designers virtually.
In 2020, Covid-19 had the world on lockdown. The architectural services market in the UK bottomed out, yet home improvement projects were on the rise. Alongside Nathan McNamara, Webb co-founded Home & Maker, an online architecture practice offering services ranging from loft conversions and extensions, to new builds. Clients can use the platform to seek construction costs, informal advice or full design and are charged per project phase for maximum flexibility.
Home & Maker serves homeowners nationwide using remote technology, whilst also offering optional site visits and surveys from the company’s seven studios across the UK – based in London, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Aberystwyth, and Birmingham. Home & Maker has already advised over 3,000 homeowners across the UK since its launch.
Forbes 30 Under 30 is a set of lists of people under 30 years old, issued annually by Forbes magazine and some of its regional editions. Every year, Forbes identifies the brightest entrepreneurs under the age of 30 across 20 different industries, awarding 600 nominees a place on the coveted list for ambitious demonstration of impact in their sector.
“We are all very proud of Isabella’s achievement. She is continually enthusiastic and surprises us with her innovative ideas. She is more than deserving of this huge accolade and I feel lucky to work alongside her. Having already established herself as a successful entrepreneur, I can’t wait see the next chapter of the Home & Maker story”, says Managing Director of DB3 and Home & Maker’s Co-founder, Nathan McNamara.
