With the country re-opening, I have spent the past few months visiting various regions Downtown in Business operate and it has been a welcome change.
The live events programme is well and truly back, and Downtown in Business have already hosted thirty across Liverpool, Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Birmingham, and London, including the first live gala awards dinner in the UK.
As ever, the speakers we have attracted to our events have been of the highest calibre, among them the chief executives of Leeds, Liverpool, and Manchester City Council’s, the Leader of Manchester City Council, Sir Richard Leese, the heads of Investment and Marketing for Manchester, Leeds, Lancashire, and Liverpool, the chief executive of Bruntwood Chris Oglesby, Birmingham MP Jess Phillips, Gary Neville, Lord Michael Heseltine, and London Deputy Mayor for planning & regeneration Jules Pipe.
With a vast number of events across the country brings many overnight stays so I was delighted that Downtown in Business have partnered with the fastest growing aparthotel brand in Europe, Staycity Aparthotels.
Staycity brings the perfect blend of home and hotel. In the past when working away, I have always been tempted by the hotel bar or to head out into the city for a bite to eat and a few beers. This is not a great lifestyle when working away so often, so to have a separate living area with a TV, kitchen and dining room table has been great. Each aparthotel has an onsite gym too and if I do feel like a beer from time to time, I can do so without leaving the building.
With a national account, we have found it far more efficient and cost effective as a business to have one port of call when making multiple bookings each week. The team at Staycity go way above the call of duty and they are a pleasure to work with.
Staycity is great for short and long term stays for business trips or a weekend away with the family.
