Causeway Technologies is delighted to be named Business of the Month for October, as its official Charity – Mindflow, launches its mental health Charter for the construction industry.
To put into perspective, every single working day, two construction workers in the UK take their own lives.
The industry we build our lives around is in crisis – and for too long, the conversation about mental health has been buried beneath steel, concrete and silence.
But change is coming. And it’s coming from the pitch.
Powered by Causeway and as part of its wider commitment to the industry, Mindflow is a grassroots movement tackling mental health head-on in the construction industry – powered by the heart and soul of the nation: football. Former professional footballers go out onto sites to share their stories of resilience and overcoming barriers to connect with the construction workforce and encourage them to open up and talk using the universal language of football.
Mindflow is launching The Mindflow Charter this month, an actionable framework to bring mental health best practice directly onto sites, making it visible, practical, and real. This team sheet – 11 positions, each representing a core principle of mental health support. From having a written policy, to embedding governance, training, and real-time site support, every principle is built to serve businesses of every size, from one-person operations to major contractors.
With a nationwide presence and currently the Charity of the Year for Constructing Excellence Midlands, this framework can work with the West Midlands Good Work Charter – promoting better working conditions and employee well-being.
Mindflow is working towards an industry where no construction worker struggles alone.
