Ward Hadaway is one of the UK’s Top 100 law firms, serving local, national, and international clients from offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, and Teesside. The firm works with businesses, not-for-profit organisations, public sector bodies, and private individuals to deliver high-quality legal services, focusing on practical solutions and exceptional client care.
Guided by its three core values—being straightforward in communication, ambitious for clients and colleagues, and respectful in all interactions—Ward Hadaway combines legal excellence with a deep understanding of the sectors it serves. Its sector-specific expertise spans 15 industries, enabling the firm to provide tailored legal advice across a range of areas. The firm supports businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to major corporations and their investors, offering advice on employment, immigration, regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters. In the built environment sector, it works on affordable housing, development, regeneration, and infrastructure projects. The firm also advises NHS organisations and private healthcare providers, as well as clients in the public and third sectors, including education institutions, charities, and local authorities. In addition, Ward Hadaway assists private individuals with legal issues affecting their personal lives.
Recently, the firm supported the fourth annual Kids in Mind Charity Question of Sport event, held on Friday 17 October, which brought together the North East housebuilding community for an inspiring evening of sport, laughter, and generosity. The event raised over £90,000 to support Kids in Mind’s vital work within women’s refuges across the region. Among the volunteer committee members were Alistair McDonald, Business Development Director and Co-Chair of the event, and Lesley Fairclough, Partner in Ward Hadaway’s Built Environment team.
