The Cheshire East Hospitality Association (CEHA) has officially relaunched, bringing together hotels, restaurants, bars, attractions, and tourism operators from across the region with a shared goal: to support local businesses, amplify their voices, and champion the people behind the scenes who make Cheshire East a must-visit destination.
With the visitor economy in Cheshire East now worth over £1 billion and employing more than 10,000 people, the relaunch of CEHA comes at a critical time. As the sector continues to rebuild and evolve post-pandemic, collaboration has never been more important.
Chaired by a board of industry professionals with direct links to local government and deep roots in hospitality, the association will provide regular termly meetings, training opportunities, and a platform for open dialogue. The aim? To ensure that businesses of all sizes have the support, representation, and resources they need to thrive.
Steven Hesketh, Chair of the Chester Hospitality Association and Joint-Vice Chair of the UK Hospitality Northern Board, is one of the key figures helping drive the relaunch.
“Having seen the impact that strong hospitality associations can make in Liverpool and Chester, and elsewhere across the country, I know firsthand how powerful it is when we come together as one voice. The businesses in Cheshire East are full of passion, talent and resilience, now they’ll have the support and recognition they deserve through this association.”
As part of the relaunch, the association is also proud to announce the first-ever Cheshire East Hospitality People Awards, taking place this October at Crewe Hall Hotel. The awards will shine a spotlight on the individuals who go above and beyond to deliver exceptional hospitality – from chefs and servers to reception teams, event staff and more.
The deadline for entries is the 17th September and businesses can Nominate here their amazing individuals from their team.
In the lead-up to the awards, the association’s first termly meeting is set for September 2025, open to all local hospitality operators interested in joining the movement and shaping the future of the region’s visitor economy.
The relaunch coincides with the return of DevaFest (7–10 August), one of the area’s biggest festivals, which is expected to generate over £2 million for the local economy. CEHA is encouraging businesses and residents alike to get involved and support local by attending. Get tickets here
