On Monday 8th August, Birmingham closed the Commonwealth Games 2022 in spectacular fashion, culminating on what had been an incredible eleven days for the city and wider city region.

Downtown in Business have worked in Birmingham for several years now so we are well aware of how friendly, proud, and passionate the people of Brum are. They love their great city, and rightly so- it is a fantastic place to live, work and visit. Now, after the games, the whole world knows.

During the past decade Birmingham has been transformed. New Street Station, Paradise Circus and 103 Colmore Tower, are just a few great examples of large-scale quality developments that have helped regenerate the city centre.

With a city centre tram network in place and HS2 Curzon St development well underway- as well as Enterprise Wharf- there is no better time to invest in Birmingham.

The eleven days showcase to the world was hugely important but now comes the legacy.

Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Games, Ian Reid alongside some key property personalities from the region and local authority leaders will be leading a panel at Downtown in Business’s national property conference at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham on Thursday 15th September.

Discussing the legacy, the investment opportunities and what next – this is a day not to be missed.

Ian Reid, Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Games

We will also be joined by local authority leaders, senior business leaders from the world of property and around 200 delegates from across the country on an action-packed day in the wonderful city that is Birmingham.

This is just the start for Birmingham and the West Midlands. The regeneration over the next few years will be on a huge scale. For further information and the chance to book one of the few remaining tickets CLICK HERE
