Everton Football Club submitted a planning application to Liverpool City Council in December 2019 to develop an iconic new stadium on the banks of the Mersey and a community-led legacy at Goodison Park.
Downtown in Business will be hosting an event at the clubs’ HQ in the Royal Liver Building on the morning of Thursday 30th January 2020, where we will be joined by key Everton executives behind the plans and proposals. Speaking will be Colin Chong, Stadium Development Director, Richard Kenyon, Director of Marketing, Communications and Community alongside CBRE’s Iain Jenkinson.
As well as a unique insight into this new, innovative, regeneration project, there will also be a presentation and update on the Goodison Legacy initiative.
Richard Kenyon commented “We are pleased to be doing this event in partnership with Downtown in Business. We’ve had great support with our plans to date and are keen to keep this going as we enter the next phase of the process.”
Frank McKenna, Chief Executive Downtown in Business commented “The new stadium is set to be a jewel in the crown for North Liverpool. The legacy project at Goodison Park is equally impressive. The business community has been massively supportive of the project and I am delighted that engagement with business leaders is continuing as the plans come to fruition. I am sure Downtown members will appreciate hearing directly from Everton Football Club.”
