Join Downtown in Business on Friday 29th August at Everton HQ for ‘The Business of Football.’ We will be joined by Trevor Steven, Rick Parry, Jason McAteer and John Barnes.

Trevor Steven enjoyed a 17-year career in top-flight football, playing for Burnley, Everton, Glasgow Rangers, and Olympique de Marseille. He won 36 England caps and was part of the 1986 and 1990 World Cup squads. Today, Trevor is Chief Executive Officer of Mindflow, a charity founded by Causeway Technologies, which is committed to championing positive mental health in the construction industry by harnessing the power of football.

Rick Parry is the current Chairman of the English Football League (EFL), the founding Chief Executive of the Premier League, and former CEO of Liverpool Football Club. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the modern game and continues to be one of football’s most influential leaders.

Jason McAteer is a former professional footballer who played for Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland and Tranmere as well as gaining over 50 caps for the Republic of Ireland. Since ending his professional career, Jason has regularly appeared as a pundit.

John Barnes is a former professional footballer and manager, widely regarded as one of England’s finest players and among Liverpool’s greatest icons. Today, he works as an author, as well as a commentator and pundit for ESPN and SuperSport.
