Seven more organisations have signed up in support of the Red Rose Awards, which is set to take place on November 25 to celebrate the achievements of Lancashire business.

Blackpool & The Fylde College has returned for the third consecutive year as the judging partner of the awards, B&FC, a further education college which has ranked within the top three per cent in England for the last six years and is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, plays a crucial role in helping to bring together the expert panel which will independently select the winners in each of the 20 categories.

Other sponsors to recently confirm their support of the county’s favourite awards programme are Azets, Eventus Recruitment Group, Four Recruitment, Napthens Solicitors, Sundown Solutions, and the University of Central Lancashire.

The seven newly-announced backers join headline sponsors Forbes Solicitors and Barclays in backing the Red Rose Awards, which will celebrate the achievements of companies of all sizes and all sectors. The awards are also sponsored by Cube Thinking, Harrison Drury Solicitors, Porsche Centre Bolton and Two Zero. The charity partner is Community Foundation for Lancashire.

This year’s awards, moved from its usual date in March due to the national lockdown, will feature a number of new categories including the Go Green Award, Made in Lancashire Award and Scale Up Business Award, as well as specific categories for professional services, marketing agencies and those working within the built environment sector.

Stephen Bolton of Lancashire Business View, which is hosting the awards, said: “We are delighted that the Red Rose Awards has attracted so much support from the Lancashire business community.

“The calibre of the companies that have chosen to support our awards shows that, while last year was exceptionally difficult for many, there is a real passion for celebrating the county’s successes and we are proud to be a part of that. The event promises to be one to remember.”

Sarah Hall, head of business development at Blackpool & The Fylde College, said: “It’s been an extraordinary year for everyone. We’re stronger together. We need our collective commitment and might to bounce back from one of the most challenging years for industry.

“It’s never been more important to celebrate resilience and determination and winners of the Red Rose Awards exemplify these attributes. We’re honoured to celebrate their achievements and support others to follow in their footsteps with training to build skills in every organisation to ready them for future success.”

Businesses interested in entering the awards have until August 20 to submit their entry forms. The finalists will be announced on September 10, and they will then be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
