Lancashire Business View gears up for growth with senior promotions

Lancashire Business View magazine has bolstered its board as it looks to accelerate its growth journey.

Lancashire Business View magazine has bolstered its board as it looks to accelerate its growth journey.

Stephen Bolton has been made managing director of the independent media business, with publisher Richard Slater moving into the role of chairman.

Rachael Norris has been promoted to marketing and events director and joins Richard and Stephen on the board of the company.

The internal moves follow the appointment of Joanne Hindley as sales director at the Blackburn headquartered business, which was announced earlier this month.

Stephen Bolton joined the business at its creation in 2005 leading the commercial side of the business, subsequently becoming a shareholder.

Stephen said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for everyone connected with Lancashire Business View. We see genuine growth opportunities across the county as we look to scale up the business.

“While our core values, which have served us so well, will remain the same, our appetite for growth through our existing channels and the introduction of new products and services is increasing.”

Rachael Norris joined the business in 2014 as marketing manager later adding events management to her portfolio. Lancashire Business View stages around 40 events each year including the national award-winning Red Rose Awards which Rachael has managed since 2019.

She said: “I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to develop all Lancashire Business View’s brands and events.

“I’m looking forward to my new role as a board director and playing my part in the next stages of the business as we continue to develop our offering and our support to the county’s business community.”

Richard Slater said: “These announcements highlight the strength-in-depth we have as a business as we continue to grow while keeping our focus on supporting and championing Lancashire’s business community.”

Richard Slater said: “Stephen has played an instrumental role in building Lancashire Business View’s relationships and partnerships with companies and organisations in all sectors across the county. His knowledge of the business community is second to none and his contribution to our business is immense.”

Richard Slater said: “Rachael has been a key member of our decision team for many years and she is committed to the business, its aims and ambitions. Her promotion to the board is a reward for that and recognition of all she brings to us.”

Joanne Hindley joined the independent publisher earlier this month from Burnley based Peter Scott Printers where she was managing director.

The multi ward winning bi-monthly print magazine Lancashire Business View is at the heart of the business. Its stable of media products also includes a daily updated website; an innovative facility for readers to self-publish stories; and bulletins issued to more than 9,000 online subscribers. Across its platforms, 50,000 readers and followers are served.
