Lancashire is now building its Local Industrial Strategy – this will be the blueprint for future investment and development within and into Lancashire for the next 10 to 20 years.
It’s vitally important that our business community, large and small, are a key part in identifying what should be in the Strategy – where are we excellent but even more vitally – what is holding our businesses back from achieving their full commercial potential?
This Local Industrial Strategy business consultation event for the whole of Lancashire and backed by N&W Lancs Chamber, the IOD, the FSB, the ICAEW and Downtown in Business Lancashire will be hosted by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce on 3rd June. Light Buffet from 1.00pm, with the event running from 1.30pm to 4.00pm.
“In November 2017, Government announced the UK Industrial Strategy. Local areas, mediated through the Local Enterprise Partnerships, are now being invited to develop their Local Industrial Strategy equivalents, which are intended to provide the route maps for economic development in their places for the next 10 years. Lancashire has recently started its LIS journey, and data and evidence are now being assembled and reviewed to understand where the County starts from. Full and open dialogue from the private sector is a key requirement of LIS development, and with this in mind we are holding this business consultation and workshop event, where the commissioned consultancy (Steer-ED) can set out what they are doing, and take your early views/perspectives.”
