Hope Street’s Trunk Lounge opens to Record Sales

After months of being unable to trade, Liverpool’s hospitality sector has seen a huge surge in bookings for outdoor areas and there doesn’t look to be a slow down for people wanting to use the beautiful spaces around the city. In fact, many venues are reporting outside areas being booked up until June and beyond.

Following the government’s roadmap out of lockdown venues with outdoor space opened on April 12 and the last few weeks has seen businesses bounce back to life including Trunk Lounge on Hope Street which has had record sales. Trunk Lounge, brought to you by the team behind Silk Rd was given a complete revamp during lockdown with the outdoor terrace transformed into a decked garden with wind shelter and awnings to keep the rain off.

Chris Williams, MD of The Trunk Collective, said “Since the roadmap was announced, we’ve been absolutely inundated with bookings for Trunk Lounge which has been amazing. We have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback from our guests and it has been a delight to have customers back. We are a small independent run business and the wider team have been amazing and really pulled together, I think we are all just glad to have a bit of normality back in our lives.”

Trunk Lounge offers a menu of exciting tastes and flavours from around the world.  Open seven days a week serving brunch, lunch, tapas, cocktails and shakes to those wishing to enjoy the heated area. Tables at Trunk Lounge can be booked with live availability online through the Trunk Collective website.

The countdown is now on to the 17th May when the neighbourhood eatery can open up indoors and the full business will be back up and running.

Javier Mellado co-owner said “ it has been a tough year for everyone in hospitality and we are excited to welcome guests into Trunk Lounge and get back to what we love in a great city”
