Fast-growing Liverpool architecture practice Studio RBA has secured planning permission for its latest project for Shape Land & Property and its partner Reciprocal Solutions.
Hyndburn Council has granted permission for twenty affordable homes in the Knuzden area of Blackburn. The development, subject to agreement on the developer contribution, will be delivered by Advent Construction for Onward Homes.
“Permission was secured at the first pass after a lot of hard work by all parties and I’m delighted with the news,” said Adam Morgan, director of Studio RBA. “We have an excellent relationship with Reciprocal Solutions, Shape Land & Property and Shape Consulting Engineers and there is more to come.”
Commenting on the scheme design, Morgan said: “We’ve taken the subjugated brick palette of Windsor Road along with the use of strong gable pediments and made both a little more prominent. The scheme provides a pleasing and respectful update to the street scene in what is a settled neighbourhood.”
Work will start on site in the summer and has a 12 month build programme.
Studio RBA recently recruited two new technical staff and says it is now planning further recruitment at its waterfront base in the Royal Albert Dock.
