Lu Ban in Cains Brewery Village will be open from 3pm until 11pm on New Year’s Eve where guests will be able to enjoy Lu Ban Drappier Champagne served with a selection of snacks, followed by a sensational 7 course banquet.
The New Year’s Even menu at the award winning restaurant is £99 per person and includes all of the Lu Ban favourites starting with the ‘Great British Oyster’ from Executive Chef Dave Critchley’s Great British Menu.
2023 is the Chinese year of the Rabbit and the carefully selected banquet choices are oozing with sensational flavours to tempt the taste buds of the most discerning palettes and courses include the following:-
Wonton Soup (Chicken imperial stock, with soft wonton)
Pork and Pineapple (18-hour master stock roast Ulverston pork belly, caramelised pineapple, ancient recipe sweet and sour, peppers and green onion)
Lu Ban Lobster – from the Come Dine with me menu – (Grilled half lobster in the shell, sesame prawn toast, garlic ginger butter and Szechuan chilli oil)
Lucky Number 8 Beef Fillet – from the Great British Menu – (Black garlic rubbed 6oz (170g) fillet of Longhorn beef, baby bok choi, Chinese black pepper sauce and marrow bone crumb)
Cherry Blossom – (Ruby chocolate, cherry tea, apple blossom, Morello cherry)
