The Food, drink and tourism industry has been a cornerstone of the Cheshire economy for many years. In order for it to continue to flourish and grow, the county needs to build on its heritage whilst offering a fresh vision to its marketing and events offer. Downtown in Business has brought together key personalities from the sector to lead a discussion on what that new offer might look like.
Nicola has worked in tourism in Cheshire for over 10 years, first starting her career focusing on tourism recovery after the Foot and Mouth outbreak and 9/11, when the importance of tourism to the Cheshire economy was first really realised. She has worked as part of the Commonwealth games in Manchester, at Reaseheath College supporting farms with diversification into tourism and was instrumental in developing Chester’s all new Christmas Market.
She is a qualified Chartered institute of Marketing member and is on the board for the Canal and River Trust North Wales and Borders partnership.
