NORTH CAN DRIVE UK ECONOMY SAYS NP11 CHAIR

The chair of the Northern Powerhouse 11 (NP11), Claire Hayward was the guest speaker at DIBs latest Leaders Lunch in Chester.

Hosted at the spectacular Chester Racecourse, Claire, who is a successful entrepreneur and also the High Sherrif of Cheshire, was in conversation with Frank McKenna.

She outlined her thoughts on the new governments missions and how she believes the north can paly a significant role in delivering economic growth.

Investment in transport infrastructure – with HS2 connecting to Crew and Northern Powerhouse rail among her priorities, Claire also wants to see more devolved powers to Combined Authorities and mayors, and more support for skills, education, and training.
