Mansell Building Solutions has recruited a specialist in modern methods in construction (MMC) to the newly-created position of head of operations.
Chris Ledson, who began his career as an apprentice joiner, has worked his way through the ranks, holding positions including project manager, contract manager and head of site operations.
With experience in MMC, including running a modular facility, Ledson has worked for tier one contractors on projects across the UK and has overseen a number of public sector schemes for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Ministry of Justice and Department For Education.
Through responsibility for developments built via both MMC and traditional methods, he has an holistic understanding of steel, timber and concrete-framed buildings.
Focussing on process, procedure, problem solving and methodology, Ledson is keen to call on his main contractor experience to help Mansell on its quest to increase uptake and implementation of off-site construction.
“MMC is the future and the sooner the industry realises it, the better,” said Chris Ledson, Head of Operations at Mansell Building Solutions.

Established in 1991, Mansell Building Solutions provides off-site construction and on-site finishing services. Operating across the UK, Mansell has worked on a range of residential and commercial schemes within its heartland of Greater Manchester, including Aviva Studios, Stockport’s King Street West and five affordable Passivhaus schemes in Salford.
