On Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 Downtown in Business were joined by the Mayor of the West Midlands, Richard Parker at Arcadis in Birmingham as part of our ‘In Conversation with’ series.
Richard Parker was elected as Mayor of the West Midlands in 2024, and he is chair of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). He is currently in office until May 2028.
At this exclusive lunch Richard discussed his first nine months in the role, exciting opportunities for growth in the West Midlands, including skills, jobs and transport, as well as the difficulties he has faced in his new role. He also answered questions from the audience giving fascinating insight into his role and future plans.
