Spotlight on Success: Honouring the North West’s Fastest Growing Businesses

The return of the Ward Hadaway North West Fastest 50 Awards is almost upon us as we prepare to celebrate the region's most successful and dynamic businesses.

The return of the Ward Hadaway North West Fastest 50 Awards is almost upon us as we prepare to celebrate the region’s most successful and dynamic businesses.

Held in partnership with The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, these awards bring together the 50 fastest growing businesses in the region, recognising their successes which have contributed to making the North West such a thriving business environment.

Taking place at Royal Exchange Theatre on Friday 13th June, this marks the 12th year of the Fastest 50 Awards in the North West. As the largest regional economy outside of London and the South East, the North West boasts a diverse range of pioneering businesses worthy of celebration, with sectors such as business services, leisure and construction particularly flourishing.

Since last year’s ceremony, businesses have had to navigate significant change. Whether that be responding to the impact of the Employee Rights Bill, the rising costs of National Insurance contributions, the uncertainty surrounding trade tariffs, or the volatility of energy prices, the level of growth demonstrated by these businesses is a testament of their hard work and ingenuity.

Ward Hadaway’s Liz Bottrill, Executive Partner of the firm’s Manchester office, said: “The Fastest 50 Awards are always a highlight of the calendar as they provide a great opportunity to recognise the organisations that have been leading the way in making the North West such an exciting place to do business.

“There are some very powerful and inspiring stories among these 50 fastest growing businesses in the North West and I’m looking forward to them all coming together to learn and share insights, and most importantly, to celebrate their achievements.”

This year’s guests will hear from keynote speaker Paul Fox, Group Managing Director of Fox Brothers. His company, which specialises in the supply and haulage of aggregates, recycled materials, muck shift and earthworks, was ranked as the fourth fastest-growing business in the region at last year’s event.

The annual awards rank 50 privately-owned, profitable businesses in the North West that have seen the biggest average annual growth rate in their turnover, independently verified using Companies House data. The fastest-growing small, medium and large businesses are crowned, with one of these being named the overall fastest growing business in the region.
