Make Events Appoints Adele Woods as New Managing Director to Power Next Stage of Growth

Award-winning events agency Make Events is delighted to announce the appointment of Adele Woods as its new Managing Director, effective Wednesday 25th June 2025.

Adele joins Make Events at a pivotal time for the business, as it builds on its recent rebrand and positions itself for its next phase of growth and innovation. With over 25 years of experience in the events industry, Adele brings a unique combination of agency-side and client-side expertise that will help shape the agency’s future.

Adele spent 14 years at Marks & Spencer HQ, leading events and regional marketing, before founding a boutique agency in London. Following her return to the North, she held senior leadership positions at Inconnection and First Event, where she most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she oversaw the agency’s day-to-day operations and helped the agency navigate a period of rapid growth including the expansion of its service offering.

Adele is passionate about empowering people to grow and fulfil their potential. She continues to mentor talent across the industry and is committed to supporting greater female representation at board level.
