Cheshire East Hospitality Association Launches The People Awards

The newly relaunched Cheshire East Hospitality Association (CEHA) is celebrating the region's visitor economy by leading the first Hospitality People Awards for the region.

The newly relaunched Cheshire East Hospitality Association (CEHA) is celebrating the region’s visitor economy by leading the first Hospitality People Awards for the region.

With the visitor economy in Cheshire East now worth over £1 billion and employing more than 10,000 people, the People Awards are a chance to shine a spotlight on the brightest stars of the hospitality community and honour some outstanding individuals who demonstrate passion, dedication, and commitment to deliver exceptional hospitality.

The event will feature 15 award categories to recognise up and coming hospitality stars with an apprentice award, rising star award and young chef of the year, awards for those working front or heart of house roles, and outstanding managers as well as the Judges and Chairman’s awards that aren’t open for entry but recognise inspirational figures from within the sector.

Steven Hesketh, Chair of the Chester Hospitality Association and board member of the Liverpool Hospitality Association, is one of the key figures helping drive the awards. “Having seen the impact that strong hospitality associations and awards can make in Liverpool and Chester, I know first hand how powerful it is when we come together and celebrate our brilliant industry. The People Awards give us a perfect opportunity to highlight the exceptional individuals and teams who fuel our industry. These awards are not just a recognition but a celebration of the heart and soul of the region’s hospitality industry and we hope as many businesses as possible will make a nomination. The businesses in Cheshire East are full of passion, talent and resilience, through the awards we have the chance to recognise and celebrate our hospitality heroes. The Cheshire East Hospitality People Awards will also support local and national charities with all proceeds raised through the event being shared with Hospitality Action, and a local charity Wishing Well.”

The first Cheshire East Hospitality Awards will be held on Thursday 23rd October at the magnificent Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa. David Rowley, General Manager, and a driving force behind the awards added:

“We are incredibly proud to host the inaugural Cheshire East Hospitality Awards, celebrating the outstanding hospitality talent within our local community. We’re excited to welcome all the finalists and their teams to Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa on 23rd October for what is set to be an inspiring and memorable evening. It’s also a huge privilege to support Hospitality Action and local charity, Wishing Well, as we come together to recognise the successes of our industry.”

Applications are now open, with submissions being welcomed until 5pm on Wednesday 17th September 2025. A full list of categories and the entry form are available at www.cheshireeasthospitalityassociation.com
