Pannone Corporate has strengthened its team with a raft of hires across the firm, following continued growth.

Mohassan Mehmood joins the law firm as a senior associate in the real estate team, having previously spent 12 years at Forbes Solicitors. Mohassan will support the team on all aspects of real estate activity, including acquisitions and disposals, leasehold asset management and property support on corporate transactions, bringing particular expertise in property transactions involving pension schemes.

Mohassan is joined at Pannone by Louise Allcock, who has been appointed as an associate in the same team. Joining from JMW, Louise will assist the team on both residential property matters and commercial transactions.

Marlie Collette has been appointed to the Pannone corporate team having qualified in British Columbia, Canada. Prior to relocating to the UK, Marlie served as Associate General Counsel at the Jim Pattison Group, Canada’s largest privately held company, where she advised on corporate transactions and commercial matters for 20 operating divisions in North America and internationally, spanning sectors such as food and beverage, healthcare, entertainment, real estate, automotive and retail.

Tarteel Abdelrahman and Yulia Livesey complete the string of appointments. Tarteel joins Pannone as a solicitor in the employment team. Having previously worked at Browne Jacobson and Slater & Gordon, she will support the team in advising on a wide range of employment issues. Yulia, who has been appointed as a paralegal in the real estate team, brings substantial experience in real estate transactions having previously worked for a large law firm in Moscow.

Paul Jonson, senior partner at Pannone, said: “Our people drive our success, so it’s essential we recruit talented individuals who bring emotional intelligence as well as a high technical ability to our teams.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming such a strong group of legal specialists to the firm – each bringing diverse and valuable expertise as we look to strengthen core areas of the business, including real estate, corporate and employment, on the back of our continued growth.”

The appointments follow a number of new client wins / panel appointments across the firm. These include Aviva Studios, MIDAS, industrial equipment supplier Crestchic and Alfred Knight – a leading provider of inspection and analysis for the metals, minerals, solid fuels and agricultural industries.

The hires also come on the back of a trio of partner promotions earlier this year. In April, Sarah Bazaraa was promoted to partner in the firm’s dispute resolution team and heads the IP litigation and media teams. Alongside Sarah, Michael McNally was made partner in Pannone’s employment team. Michael and Sarah were joined by Gareth Birch, who was promoted to partner in the firm’s real estate team.
