The PA Club – the pioneering network for senior PAs and EAs – is entering an exciting new chapter following its acquisition by Holly Moore and Joel Bennett, CEO and Co-Director of Manchester-headquartered events agency, Make Events.

Founded in 2006 by Charmian and Michael Hislop, The PA Club was created to recognise, champion, and support the exceptional work of senior PAs and EAs. Initially serving support staff in Canary Wharf, the Club evolved alongside London’s skyline – expanding into major UK cities and eventually onto the international stage. Its strong London heritage will play a key role in further developing Make Events’ presence in the Capital following its expansion into the city earlier this year.

With over two decades of experience producing world-class corporate events and working closely with personal and executive assistants, Holly and Joel bring a bold new vision and renewed energy to the network.

Commenting on the acquisition, Holly Moore, said: “At Make Events, our ethos is all about building real relationships and creating genuine connections. I know first-hand the pivotal role that senior PAs and EAs play in driving businesses forward – and the powerful community that can grow when they come together. I’m delighted to be welcoming The PA Club to the group and bringing a little of the Make Events magic to its next chapter.”

Shaped by insights from a comprehensive member survey earlier this year, The PA Club will undergo a new positioning designed to meet the real needs of today’s assistants. A full rebrand is already in motion, with a fresh visual identity and new website launching this autumn. Members can look forward to a dynamic line-up of events and exhibitions in London and beyond, along with exclusive access to Make Events’ expertise – making it easier than ever to discover the best venues across the UK for meetings, off-sites, and away days.

“The PA Club has always been about recognising, championing, and supporting the exceptional work of PAs and EAs,” says Joel Bennett. “We’re building on that foundation with more high-impact events, meaningful networking and opportunities and a focus on showcasing best practice. We’re also curating a trusted supplier directory to make life easier for our members.”

Following Michael’s passing in 2021, Charmian continued to lead The PA Club solo, focusing on intimate, high-value gatherings. Now semi-retired in Somerset, she reflects on the decision to pass the baton:

“Handing over to Holly and Joel feels exactly right. They share our belief in the power of personal connection and are passionate about honouring and evolving the legacy of The PA Club. I’m excited to see where they’ll take it.”

Charmian will remain involved over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition and will be a guest of honour at the Club’s 20th anniversary celebration in 2026.
