The shadow secretary of state for education, Kate Green, was in the Downtown Den to discuss Labour’s plans of getting children back into the classroom at the earliest opportunity, creating proposals that can help young people ‘catch up’ on what has been a challenging year for many of them, the exams fiasco and the need for Further Education, Vocational studies, and apprenticeships to be part of the solution moving forward. The Greater Manchester MP, at an event sponsored by the City of Liverpool College, also offered her thoughts on devolution and the Northern Powerhouse.
