DIB to support companies with business interruption insurance claims

Business organisation Downtown in Business has teamed up with BIC Law to offer advice and support to businesses who have been refused help for business interruption through the pandemic from their insurance brokers.

Business organisation Downtown in Business has teamed up with BIC Law to offer advice and support to businesses who have been refused help for business interruption through the pandemic from their insurance brokers.

DIB chief executive Frank Mckenna said:

“We are aware that, despite the recent ruling of the supreme court, many claims for business interruption are still being turned down. This is a travesty and one that we want to help companies with. We have agreed a partnership with a legal firm who are specialists in this area, BIC Law. On a no win no fee basis, we will take on your claim and do whatever we can to secure the funds your business is entitled to.

“It is beyond frustrating to see firms who have paid their insurance premiums for years, just being told ‘computer says no’ by their brokers. BIC Law will help businesses navigate their way through the bureaucracy and do everything they can to ensure that claims are being dealt with fairly.”
