DIB unveils Spring/Summer events bonanza

Downtown in Business will host its most extensive spring/summer events programme ever in 2022.

Downtown in Business will host its most extensive spring/summer events programme ever in 2022.

Among the highlights are a national conference, two gala awards dinners, a Leaders Lunch with the leader and chief executive of Manchester City Council, a forum with Liverpool City Region mayor Steve Rotheram, an ‘in conversation’ event with the chief executive of Birmingham City Council, the launch of the DIB Property Club in Lancashire, fringe events at the forthcoming UKREIF conference in Leeds, and the launch of Downtown in Business Newcastle.

DIB Managing Director Chris McKenna said:

“We have hit the ground running this year, and in Q1 alone we hosted north of twenty events. Over the next few months, we pick up the pace. We will organise over 40 events during the next four months, launch the Downtown brand in the Northeast, host our inaugural national Innovation, health, and technology conference, and celebrate with some of the best businesses around at our Birmingham and Liverpool awards dinners.

“It is a really exciting time to be involved in Downtown, and the activity levels have been matched by the enthusiasm of our network. After two years of lockdown and semi-lockdowns, the appetite for in-person events has never been greater. DIB intends to ensure that our members continue to have access to the best speakers, the best events, and the best venues right across the country.”
