Downtown in Business will sponsor the opening day of the Liverpool International Tennis tournament next year – with Thursday 13th June becoming ‘Downtown Day’.

The Liverpool-based business group – which now operates across the country – has signed a deal to support the opening day of the premier sporting event with Northern Vision.

The group chairman and chief executive of DIB said:

“We are delighted to be supporting what has become one of the most anticipated days for the corporate community in the city.

“The opening day of the Tennis tournament is a great combination of sport, entertainment, hospitality, and business networking.

“As it is DIBs twenty-first anniversary next year, we thought it would be appropriate for us to re-ignite the business relationship that I have had with Anders Borg and his team since he launched the event back in 2002.

“We will not only be promoting the day to our Liverpool members though. We want the DIB network from across the country to have the opportunity of enjoying this cracking day.

Tournament Director Anders Borg added:

“I am thrilled that Downtown in Business will be our partners for the opening day of the 2024 event. DIB is the most dynamic business organisation in the region, and its ability to connect us with businesses from Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and elsewhere, offers us a great opportunity of raising awareness of the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament to a wider audience.

Mr Borg confirmed that the three-day event will run from 13th to 15th June and will once again be hosted at the Aigburth Cricket Club.

Details of tickets and hospitality packages will be released shortly.
