Downtown in Business will host a parliamentary reception with Leaders, CEX’s and senior leadership teams from Manchester and Leeds City Council at The House of Commons on Monday 29th January 2024.
Public and private sector partnerships are crucial for regional cities growth and DIB will bring over one hundred senior decision makers from the private sector to hear from Cllr Bev Craig and Cllr James Lewis amongst Ministers and Shadow Ministers from both regions.
It is essential for city councils to collaborate on transport and infrastructure for sustainable development and during the event we will be hearing from each city on the cancellation of HS2 and current proposals for connectivity from east to west, as well as them outlining their future economic strategies.
