Piri Piri Express opens new site on Smithdown Road, Allerton, Liverpool

The Portuguese restaurant group currently has outlets in Aintree and Maghull and plans to expand across the north west and the wider UK, via a franchisee model.

Piri Piri Express founder Paulo Alves said “when looking for a new location Smithdown road was perfect due to its vibrant student friendly feel, we offer our customers an authentic Portuguese experience using an original family recipe and genuine Portuguese ingredients. Our locally sourced chicken is marinated and then cooked over our charcoal grills, and is served in Lemon & Herb, Mango & Lime, Medium, Hot and Very Hot for those that are daring”

The food outlet chain recently became part of the Know Group, which includes healthy restaurant Love Thy Neighbour which now has outlets in Liverpool and Chorlton, The Richmond Hotel in Liverpool City Centre, The Townhouse Hotel in Chester and Sleep Eat Love a new and unique 280 Bed “Poshtel” upscale Backpackers venue on Hatton Gardens due to open this June.

Steven Hesketh, chief executive of Know Group said: “ Piri Piri Express offers the perfect blend of take away options from burgers and ribs and for the health conscious our chicken meal deals with rice or salad offer great taste, convenience and speed. Orders can be taken direct over the phone on 0151 733 8791 or through Just Eat also offering a delivery service. Watch out for our Portuguese Rooster over the coming weeks that will be giving samples out”

The new venue, next door to the popular Tavern on Smithdown Road, has brought eight new jobs to the area, and has also seen the new look and branding of the Piri Piri Express brand come to life, with a fresh new design and logo, new Uniforms, new Menu Dishes and new style TV Screen Menu’s. The new flagship venue will be a key franchisee training site too. The next 18 months is looking very exciting for the group, and both our Maghull and Aintree stores will undergo refurbishment soon.

Come down and take a look.
