Napthens praised by Legal 500

The work of regional law firm Napthens solicitors has been highlighted in the latest edition of the industry ‘bible’ Legal 500.

Among the teams singled out are Corporate & Commercial, Rural, Leisure & Licensing, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Commercial Property, all selected as ‘top tier’ firms locally.

The Corporate & Commercial team was described as ‘responsive, accurate and knowledgeable’ with Leisure & Licensing as ‘highly competent, responsive and proactive.’

The Commercial Property team has moved to a top tier position this year, from a tier two listing in 2017, and received praise for demonstrating an ethos of ‘putting the client at the front and centre of everything it does.’

The Litigation & Dispute Resolution team attracted praise for its ‘steely determination to explore all the issues and get the very best outcome for the client.’

Meanwhile, Kathryn Harwood, head of Wills & Estate Planning, was also praised, described as taking the time ‘to understand what clients want to achieve and then offers solutions.’

Shru Morris, CEO of Napthens, said: “What makes the industry sit up and take notice of the Legal 500 results is that the guide is produced following feedback from clients, not just professionals.

“To see so many services and individuals highlighted in this way is a sign that the advice we give is valued, and the results we achieve have placed us well and truly on the map in the North West.”

A number of the firm’s individual experts are also featured as Leading Individuals – Corporate solicitor and head of the firm’s Liverpool office Gareth McIntegart was described as ‘brilliant’ and head of Corporate Keith Melling as ‘extremely diligent and responsible. Head of Leisure & Licensing, Malcolm Ireland, was also chosen, described as ‘extremely knowledgeable, nimble and commercial.’

Corporate solicitor David Carr was praised as a ‘next generation lawyer,’ as was the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team’s Andrew Holden.
