Property professionals headed to Liverpool for the city’s new Construction Club, hosted by Downtown in Business and Advantage Home Construction Insurance

It’s no secret that over the past decade, Liverpool has become an increasingly attractive proposition for developers with its high yields and (relatively) low costs for buy-to-let investors. Not to mention Liverpool Waters (the ambitious £5billion regeneration project covering a large stretch of former docklands north of the Three Graces).

So it’s no surprise that Downtown In Business decided it was high time to bring their Construction Club (which has already proven popular in Manchester and London) to the city, joining forces with Advantage Home Construction Insurance to host their inaugural event this month.

Downtown launched Liverpool’s first Construction Club in association with Advantage Insurance (AHCI) on 9th November. The event, which attracted leading property professionals from across the North West, took place in Liverpool’s Aloft Hotel.

Downtown has members in Lancashire, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, London and Cheshire and is the fastest growing business club outside of the capital. Advantage Insurance specialises in structural defects warranties; they have offices in Warrington, Birmingham and London and offer development-related insurance across the UK. They work with many of the UK’s leading developers and insurers and have opened a new office this year and made a series of new hires thanks to the rapid growth of their business.

The Liverpool Construction Club was an exclusive event, attracting leading developers, architects, legal experts and facility management companies among others. During the evening, guests listened to an update on Liverpool’s MIPIM activity, detailing the city’s involvement with this leading international property conference, which will take place in March, and made the most of the opportunity to network with fellow leaders in their field.

The event will be the first of Downtown’s Liverpool Construction Clubs, following on from the success of their London and Manchester construction events. Advantage Insurance’s Directors and Warrington team ensured that guests were given a warm welcome and attendees enjoyed light refreshments while networking.

Aloft Hotel occupies the Grade II listed former Royal Insurance Building in Liverpool’s business district, providing a suitably stylish setting for architects and developers (not to mention a gentle nod to the past for the insurance specialists in attendance!)

This was the latest in a series of successful property events that the Advantage Insurance team have hosted, sponsored and attended this year, and they’re already hard at work planning their next Liverpool event.
