Carringtons Catering has started 2019 by adding the arrival of HRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Merseyside to its list of royal engagements.
As part of the couple’s visit to Wirral, the award-winning North West caterers served a traditional afternoon tea for 60 people including funders, young people and staff at The Hive; a purpose-built facility for the city’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities.
Director of Carringtons Catering Helen Wynn said: “Having previously catered for the top tiers of royalty, including Her Majesty The Queen, it was a real honour to provide our services to celebrate the arrival of Prince Harry of Wales and The Duchess of Sussex.”
“As a company, we are incredibly passionate about our region as many of our events are based here and we’re proud to have worked closely with The Hive to deliver an exciting afternoon. We’re supportive of the community work that they do in Wirral and beyond and it was great to see the children enjoying such a momentous occasion.”
Amongst its most prominent royal bookings, Carringtons Catering has previously cooked for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, HRH The Duke of Cambridge, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.
Director of Carringtons Catering and Master Chef of Great Britain Darren Wynn said: “It is always a privilege to be asked to create dishes for special occasions and for this we used locally sourced ingredients to showcase everything that the North West has to offer.
“No matter the occasion we always aim to deliver the royal treatment, and this was certainly no exception.”
