Global law firm Kennedys acted for Scottish-based PMP – an independent consultancy providing specialist commercial property advice – in securing a five-year lease in Manchester, the company’s first permanent office location in England.
PMP – which offers a full range of services in building surveying, project management and costs consultancy – has acquired space at the iconic Sunlight House building, which has recently undergone significant refurbishment.
Established in Edinburgh in 1992, PMP also has an office in Glasgow, and uses a co-working space in London.
Angela Bhaseen, a senior real estate associate in Kennedys’ Manchester office, led the team with PMP moving in on 7 January 2019, says: “The deal was completed within four weeks and is another sign of the appeal of Manchester to businesses looking to establish a presence in England. The success of our real estate team is going hand-in-hand with the success of the city in attracting inward investment, and we are confident that both will continue to thrive as a result.”
The size of the suite acquired will allow for PMPs expansion plans in Manchester in the coming months and years.
Alison Loveday, Partner at Kennedys, says: “As trusted commercial advisors, it is always particularly pleasing when clients who are themselves expert property advisers choose you to handle their own property work.”
John Dunn, managing director of PMP, adds: “We were looked after very well by Kennedys with a fast acting and highly informed team who have been instrumental in our first major move into the North West of England.”
