Vista Announces Mock Employment Tribunal Roadshow

Vista Employer Services is planning an exciting year as it continues to help employers tackle the marked increase in employment tribunal claims.

Vista Employer Services is planning an exciting year as it continues to help employers tackle the marked increase in employment tribunal claims. A daunting and often unknown arena for many organisations, Vista’s mock employment tribunal roadshow aims to provide a rich and interactive learning experience for HR professionals and line managers with an upcoming tribunal case.

Back by popular demand and taking place at eight different locations throughout 2019, Vista’s free of charge mock employment tribunal events will allow delegates to experience the employment tribunal process first-hand.

Delivered by experienced tribunal advocates, each session will help delegates to understand the issues that could arise during a case and how an employment tribunal may deal with them.

The first UK tour kicked off in 2018, with some positive feedback;

“A really exciting insight into what goes on in a tribunal, hugely helped with how we look at our own practices and what we advise.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome as it highlighted how complex issues can be – they are not always black and white”

This year, the Vista team of employment lawyers will be using a real-life case, focussing on the consequences of age discrimination in the workplace. Delegates will meet two main characters; Alex Potts, a humiliated and demeaned employee who feels side-lined by her age, and Chris Highwater; Alex’s new line manager who believes this issue has been blown way out of proportion and can’t see what her problem is.

The delegates will have the opportunity to explore this real-life case, before watching the witnesses give evidence and being cross examined by the Vista team of tribunal advocates.

Each session will give a detailed insight into how decisions are made, and how actions taken by employees can very easily become key features of a tribunal hearing.

At the end of the session, the Judge will make the final decision based on the evidence given, but what will the outcome be? Join Vista at the event to find out. Taking place in Leicester, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Beverley, Cheshire, Birmingham and Bristol, you can find tickets on Vista’s website here – www.vista-employer.co.uk/events
