Last year’s inaugural Chorley Golf Club Rosemere Golf Day had 23 teams and raised more than £5,000 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which works to fund cutting edge equipment, research and other services in its drive to ensure that limited NHS resources will not stop cancer patients from Lancashire and South Cumbria accessing world class cancer treatment whether being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, or at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties, including that at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.

Rosemere Golfers Against Cancer is an inclusive group of local men and women of varying golfing standards, who use their love of the sport to support Rosemere Cancer Foundation by taking part in a series of fundraising golf days. Following the Chorley golf day is the Stonyhurst Golf Day in Hurst Green on Friday, 31st May, Morecambe Golf Day on Monday, 3rd June, and Lytham Green Drive Golf Day, on Wednesday, 11th September.
