Passenger numbers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) rose by 2% in May compared to last year, with almost 480,000 passengers passing through the Airport – 10,000 more than in May 2018.
Last month saw Blue Islands commence its new twice weekly Guernsey service from the Airport as well as the additional traffic generated by Liverpool fans heading off early to Madrid and other Spanish destinations ahead of the Champions League Final.
In addition to the new Guernsey service, Ryanair has now commenced its new Summer 2019 services to Copenhagen and Corfu, with more new routes still to come. Wizz Air’s three times weekly service to Varna in Bulgaria starts next month and Lauda’s twice weekly Vienna service is due to start at the end of October.
