Mansell Finishes has appointed 19-year-old Anouska Emmott to its apprenticeship scheme at its offices in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Anouska, from Oldham, has joined as a trainee administrator and is working under the careful guidance and mentoring of Catherine Thurston, Accounts Administrator. In addition to gaining vital work experience in a busy office environment, she is also developing interpersonal, teamwork and communications skills and learning about all the various rules, procedures and regulations in the construction industry.

Her core responsibilities include processing invoices and expenses plus placing orders for materials required for on- and off-site construction works. In addition, Anouska is receptionist and social secretary, organising all events and parties for the company, and lends a helping hand to anyone in the business that requires administration support.

In her spare time Anouska enjoys walking and lives by the motto ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ as she likes to let her hair down at weekends!

Commenting on Anouska’s appointment, Steph Mansell, Operations Director comments: “Anouska has settled in really well, is learning quickly and already making a positive contribution to the business. Investing in the skills development of young people is something very important to us and we have achieved great success in the past. Our plan is to continue to invest in Anouska’s development and skills, then once she’s finished her apprenticeship, offer her a permanent role within the business where she will be able to further develop and add most value.”
